Dear Friends and Visitors . . .

Thank you for visiting the web site of Wicomico Presbyterian Church. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and very proud of our heritage and history. For nearly 330 years, we have been serving our Lord Jesus Christ and meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters in this area and the world.

We are a group of people who love each other and our Lord Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a church family, please visit us. I think you'll find us to be a genuinely welcoming congregation.  Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you will find an acceptance here that will be very special.  Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you'll find a place with us.

Our church is big enough to have some special programs - such as our superb choirs, Women's Circles, and Wonderful Wednesday events - but small enough for everyone to find a place in our church family. We work together harmoniously to fulfill our mission, which is to call all to Christ-like maturity and to equip them to effectively serve the Lord in the Church and in the world. We will accomplish this by proclaiming the word of God as set forth in the Scriptures; by loving God through obedience to the Scriptures as they are revealed to us in worship, study and prayer; and by showing God's love to all.

We invite you to our worship service, and I welcome the opportunity to talk to you personally.

Donald M. Rising

Pastor

One Great Hour of Sharing Campaign
Once again WPC joins many other churches in its support of the One Great Hour of Sharing. Donations assist programs of our denomination: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Hunger Program and Self-Development of People. Please give generously, and offerings will continue to be received through April.

Helping the Hungry
Hunger in our community continues long after the holidays are over. The Deacons coordinate a project to help the hungry. They maintain an ongoing collection of non-perishable food items to share with the Lazarus Mission in Salisbury. Bring your donations to place in the box in the lobby.

Join Jean's Team!

Help raise awareness  for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) in loving memory of our friend Jean Dennis by participating in a Walk for ALS on Saturday, April 18th, at Winterplace Park in Salisbury.  This ALS fundraiser is the largest source for local funding for ALS. The money raised supports clinics providing services to local patients, as well as research to find a cure for ALS. Donate or register for the Salisbury Walk at ALS WALK Salisbury, MD or contact Robin Long for more information.

Another Wonderful Wednesday

Join us on Wednesday, April 8th, for a covered dish dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the social hall. The evening's program is "Who Do We Think We Are?" This will be an evening of fun and games about getting to know ourselves and each other; no brain power needed here, just a sense of humor! Bring a dish to share and enjoy the fellowship!
