Dear Friends and Visitors . . .

Thank you for visiting the web site of Wicomico Presbyterian Church. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and very proud of our heritage and history. For nearly 330 years, we have been serving our Lord Jesus Christ and meeting the needs of our brothers and sisters in this area and the world.

We are a group of people who love each other and our Lord Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a church family, please visit us. I think you'll find us to be a genuinely welcoming congregation.  Whoever you are and wherever you come from, you will find an acceptance here that will be very special.  Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you'll find a place with us.

Our church is big enough to have some special programs - such as our superb choirs, Women's Circles, and Wonderful Wednesday events - but small enough for everyone to find a place in our church family. We work together harmoniously to fulfill our mission, which is to call all to Christ-like maturity and to equip them to effectively serve the Lord in the Church and in the world. We will accomplish this by proclaiming the word of God as set forth in the Scriptures; by loving God through obedience to the Scriptures as they are revealed to us in worship, study and prayer; and by showing God's love to all.

We invite you to our worship service, and I welcome the opportunity to talk to you personally.

Donald M. Rising

Pastor

Sunday School - Not Just for Kids!
Become a part of a lively group of adults meeting each Sunday morning at 9:45 in the church parlor. This fall the class began a study of various words and terms important to our faith, and class members are invited to share resources and opinions. During the first few weeks of class, the topic will be the Holy Spirit. Come and grow your faith!

Help for H.O.P.E.
Thanks to everyone who has made or purchased hats or gloves for the homeless. Please deliver them to Donna Clark, Director of the Help & Outreach Point of Entry (H.O.P.E.), by November 1st. Donna's offices are located in the basement of the church.

Presbyterian Women at WPC
Our congregation has an active PW group. Four circles meet monthly during the first Monday and Tuesday of the month. Contact the church office for meeting dates and times. Women of the church will lead the worship service on Sunday, November 9th, as we celebrate Thank Offering Sunday.

Calling All Knitters

Special Music at WPC
WPC's Chancel Choir shares the ministry of music each Sunday in worship. All are welcome to some special Sundays coming soon. On Sunday, November 16th, the Joyful Noise Choir (the Saturday morning musicians) will join the Chancel Choir to sing during worship. Choir Sunday is scheduled for December 14th during worship. This special service will include music by the Tintinnabulators, the Chancel Choir, and other special music to be announced. There is always a need for more ringers and singers; if you are interested, contact Susan Zimmer.
