MUSIC MINISTRY

 CHOIRS begin September 9 for adult/teen singers, September 12 for Grades K-8, and September 13 for adult/teen handbells. All are welcome to join! For more information, contact Susan Zimmer at the church. TENORS AND BASSES are especially needed in Chancel Choir this year.

CHANCEL CHOIR: singing for teens and adults
This choir provides music for 11:00 worship throughout the school year as well as Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday services.  Extended musical works are presented on two Choir Sundays per year, beginning on December 9 this year.  On November 18th we will perform in concert with Asbury UMC and the Salisbury Chorale in a program of choir, organ and brass music.  Rehearsals are on Thursdays at the church, 7:45-9:15 PM, beginning September 13th.  (Note: we will sing in worship on Sunday, September 9th at 11:00 with a 10:30 AM rehearsal.) 
          TINTINNABULATORS: handbells for teens and adults
This a fast-paced choir requiring excellent music-reading skills due to a number of services and performances throughout the year, including Christmas concerts throughout the area and a festival performance with 1000+ ringers every spring.  We also perform occasionally in Sunday morning worship and play for Christmas Eve services.  Rehearsals are on Thursdays at the church, 6:30-7:40 PM, beginning September 13th.
JOYFUL NOISE: singing and ringing for Grades K through 8th
 Joyful Noise members meet weekly for dinner followed by ringing and singing in various small and large groups.  Choir members are encouraged to bring their friends to any or all rehearsals.  We present a Christmas pageant/program each year (December 12th this year) and a spring concert followed by a fun day at an amusement park and an opportunity to share our music with another congregation.  This spring we traveled to Hershey Park!  We also sing and ring at Sunday morning worship several times a year.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at the church, 6:30-8:00 PM, beginning September 13th.  Potluck dinner is served at 6:00 pm.
