Serving Christ and Community Since 1672
in Salisbury, Maryland

"The Grace of God formed Wicomico Presbyterian Church to proclaim that 'God so loved the world he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life'.  (John 3:16, NIV)

Our mission is to call all to Christ-like maturity, and to equip them to effectively serve the Lord in the Church and in the world.

We will accomplish this by proclaiming the word of God as set forth in the Scriptures; by loving God through obedience to the Scriptures as they are revealed to us in worship, study and prayer; by showing God's love to all."

Adopted by Session on November 21, 2000

Wicomico Presbyterian Church is part of The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), with denominational offices in Louisville, Kentucky, has approximately 2.4 million members, 11,100 congregations and 14,000 ordained and active ministers. Locally we are part of The New Castle Presbytery in Delaware.

Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him. For more information on our history, you are welcome to visit our history page, and the New Castle Presbytery history page.  If you are in the area and would like to visit us, our service times are listed on both our Announcements page and Sunday Services page, and directions to our church are on our Location and Directions page.
